Welcome to New Castle First Church of the Nazarene.
You are a vital link in a long chain of Christian
faith and fellowship. For 90 years. First Church has shared the message of
God's redeeming and transforming grace through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Our family of faith is a tapestry formed by third and fourth generation
members as well as our newly arrived. We are a warm-hearted family of
faith committed to the proclamation and life style of Christian
holiness. Our joy is to encourage and disciple our people in the truth
of God's Word for the distinct purpose of reflecting the character of
Christ. May God bless you as you worship and work with the family of

Nazarenes believe in a fundamental biblical message that revolves around
the doctrine of salvation. Simply stated, we believe in the salvation of
sinners and sanctification of believers. This body of doctrine is known
as "Wesleyanism" (named after the primary preacher of this good news,
John Wesley). Wesleyanism
is not just a position, it is a passion. As Nazarenes, we are compelled
by the desire to communicate this, message and to persuade men and women
to accept it. Our conviction is that this grand biblical message must
become personal experience. The truth that is found in the Scriptures
and the teaching on salvation from all sin must be enjoyed personally
and individually. The centrality of heart holiness is the Scriptural
answer to humankind's greatest need.
